Week 18 Surprise

I opened my email this morning expecting to find advertisements and found an email from Neha with a 3D scan.  I was so thrilled to see the pictures and hear that everything is going well and that Dr. Shivani is pleased with our surrogate's progress.

Hello, little one!

This one looks like he/she is deep in thought or scratching his/her nose.

We will be 19 weeks on Monday - wow!  WOW!  Well I decided to paint the nursery next week.  I think I am going to go with a light grey and the cribs will be white.  I found an online store that sells wall murals.  I wanted to get a tree with blowing leaves but then I found this store with quote decals - the only problem is picking just one.  ugh! Maybe I'll just stick with the tree :-)

We are also going to send off for our visas next week.  We were supposed to go to New York a few weeks ago but plans were changed and now with half the city in a blackout we are just going to mail off our applications.  Anyone have an opinion on travel or medical visa (from the U.S.)?

  1. I think five year and ten year Tourist Visas are available. I applied for a ten year Tourist Visa, so I'm still good to go for the next 9 1/2 years or so:) If I remember correctly they are both the same price anyway. And the lady from the visa agency told me it was best to apply for a longer period of time to be safe. If your applying in N.Y. I think you'll use the same agency as I did in D.C. - Travisa Outsourcing.

Congratulations on 18 weeks! Thanks for sharing the scans.

  2. I thought about doing the medical visa but SCI recommended not doing it... I think it's quite a headache from what I hear. Let us know how it goes if you decide to do it.

  3. Great scans!

We went with a tourist visa - it's easier and it last longer. It's in process now...

  4. LOVE LOVE LOVE the light grey and white- I was flipping through PBK's catalog earlier and fell for the color combo in a nursery. You guys have good taste! Also the little ones are so cute- I can't get over how clear these 3d pics are.

  6. I did a 5 year tourist visa. At the FRRO, one of the attendants did begin to question shouldn't I be on a medical visa, but the "surrogacy" expert next to him quickly admonished him that I was NOT the mother and so a tourist visa was most appropriate. Tactful, I know, but no issues with the visa:)

  9. Beautiful 3D scans. Our twins are a few weeks behind yours, but we might end up meeting in India if all goes well on our side. :)
